Unlike traditional nylon bristles, silicone can't absorb moisture, which stops grime, bacteria and buildup from being absorbed into the bristles. Because it's silicone, it also means that you can boil your brush head to sterilize it once per week, giving you a new toothbrush whenever you want. Traditional nylon bristles can't be boiled because it will melt. This alone is why people who value hygiene and cleanliness use Illume.
